Comfort & Joy, the North Bay's premiere holiday vocal quartet, brings the joy of the season in song to crowds throughout Northern California each year. Performing throughout the Bay Area, Comfort & Joy can assure you a polished, professional performance.
Attired in your choice of elegant Victorian or sleek contemporary dress, Comfort & Joy is an a cappella group comprised of two ladies and two gentlemen. Your holiday favorites - traditional and popular - are sung unaccompanied in beautiful four-part harmony. The sights and sounds of Comfort & Joy are indeed a holiday treat. Anthony Martinez- Tenor, Manager, and Founder
Over 20 years of professional film, television, musical theater, recording, and concert experience. Trained in San Francisco with nationally-acclaimed voice teachers Edward Sayegh and Richard Nickol. In addition to being a versatile and accomplished vocalist, Anthony is also a well-known Bay Area actor whose film credits include Donovan Reid (currently available on Amazon Prime), Quick, Cheaper By The Dozen, The Animal, Bottle Shock, and more along with multiple award-nominated stage appearances throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. A past member of Actors Equity Association and an ASCAP composer, Anthony is also the keyboardist, songwriter, and co-founder of the international rock group ALLIED NATION, whose retrospective CD, “Touch & Go” was released worldwide in April 2009 (currently available on itunes and Spotify). Anthony also currently plays keyboards, guitar and sings in the Sonoma County-based rock band THE CORE (www.thecore-music.com) as well as PETTY ROCKS, a tribute to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Also the touring keyboardist with Steven Kent's CASH & KING tribute to Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, Anthony is one of the founders of Comfort & Joy.

Cindy Brillhart-True- Alto and Founder
From opera to jazz and everything in between (especially show tunes), Cindy has been singing for as long as she can remember. Cindy has long been active in musical theater, appearing in acclaimed Bay Area productions of Titanic, Calendar Girls, Nunsense, Nunsense 2, Nuncrackers, Meshuggah-Nuns, Into the Woods, My Favorite Year, Triumph of Love, Quilters, Falsettos, and, most recently, Gigolo, the new Cole Porter Revue. Cindy holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Arizona State University and, in addition, has studied with many noted voice teachers including Dean Burris, Dave Stroud (Seth Riggs method), and Daria Mautner (Seth Riggs method). Also a touring vocalist with Steven Kent's CASH & KING tribute to Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, Cindy is one of the founders of Comfort & Joy.

Beth Ann Turner- Soprano/Alto
Beth Ann teaches music in Sonoma County and her headshot is 15 years old. ;)
Annie Budash- Soprano
Annie found her passion for musical ensembles while studying under Travis Rogers at Napa High School. She advanced through the ranks to become a member of the Chamber Choir and 12-person a cappella group, Vocal Music Workshop. Attending the University of Redlands, she received a Music degree under the instruction of Dr. Joe Modica and Dr. Nicholle Andrews. In her free time, she instructed the women’s collegiate a cappella group and was an active participant in Sigma Alpha Iota, a women’s music fraternity. Annie has travelled nationally and internationally performing in various choirs, building her repertoire and collecting some of her favorite memories. She recently assisted with a children's musical at Browns Valley Elementary and is currently a soprano in Bel Canto, a Napa community choir. She is excited to be the newest member of Comfort & Joy!

Andrew Moore- Baritone
Andrew joined Comfort & Joy in 2013. A master’s graduate of the Hartt School of Music/University of Hartford, he has sung in caroling groups since college days. As a singer-actor, he has performed with local and regional companies including Opera San Jose, Pocket Opera, Bear Valley Music Festival, Jarvis Conservatory Zarzuela Festival, The White Barn, Lucky Penny Productions, Napa Valley Repertory Theater, and The Bracebridge Dinners at Yosemite National Park, as well as toured nationally with Savoy Express, a Gilbert & Sullivan troupe. He currently sings with Bel Canto Napa Valley, a vocal chamber ensemble. Along with performing, Andrew teaches music lessons and yoga classes in Napa.

Ryan Bobbett- Baritone
Ryan Bobbett was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV and has been a musician for 29 years. With a strong background in musical theatre, his main passion is for playing the guitar and songwriting. He has been performing in various bands, singing in different groups, and partaking in numerous other musical ventures for most of his life. Ryan earned his master’s degree in music from UNLV and his experience covers a wide range of the musical spectrum including performing, songwriting, recording, music directing, and teaching. While the guitar is his primary instrument, he also sings, plays piano, and bass guitar. Writing and arranging music may be his favorite pastime, but Ryan’s primary musical endeavor involves working and touring in high-quality bands. His theatre experience has given him an electrifying stage presence often missed in many bands. He is also a highly qualified voice teacher, holds a California teaching license, and gives private lessons in guitar and piano as well. Robert Hazelrigg- Baritone
Well-known in Sonoma County as an accompanist, music director and singer, Robert joined the ranks of Comfort & Joy in 2015. As a director and vocalist, Robert has studied with Karen Clark, Tom Fettke, Loren Wiebe, and William Lock. He served as the Director of the Sonoma County Chamber Singers for 6 years and currently is in his 4th year as the Director of the California Redwood Chorale. As a pianist, he has accompanied the Northern California Chamber Chorale, Santa Rosa Symphonic Chorus, Redwood Empire Lyric Theater, Quire Quodlibet, Choral Artists of California, and numerous other theater groups, auditions, contests and performances in both Northern and Southern California. Robert teaches private music lessons at his Santa Rosa studio and continues a regular schedule of accompaniment in the North Bay.

Linda Rawls- Soprano/Alto
Linda is a seasoned choral director and singer and has performed both nationally and internationally for the past 20 years. For many years, Linda was the director of the award-winning Sonoma Valley Children’s Chorale and has performed with the Santa Rosa Symphonic Chorus and the Addison Singers in London. Linda has studied voice with Karen Connor and Gary Burrell and is also an award-winning theatrical costumer. For her artistic contributions to the Sonoma Valley, Linda was named the Sonoma Treasure Artist for 2008.

Justin Pyne- Baritone
Justin joined COMFORT & JOY in 2017. Justin is a North Bay based singer, arranger, keyboardist, and music director who has worked with Cinnabar Theater, 6th Street Playhouse, Sonoma Arts Live, and numerous others. Justin also plays keyboards with the local group ODELL and sings with various ensembles throughout the North Bay. In addition to his work singing with COMFORT & JOY, Justin also writes and shares his unique holiday vocal arrangements to COMFORT & JOY.
